Priemgetallen

Prime numbers

Oneven: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11….enz. en even: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12…..enz.

The mathematicians don't see the number 1 as a prime, however the bible writers do.

We all agree when we divide the natural numbers in od and even numbers. Od: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11....etc. and even: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12.....etc.

However when we divide the natural numbers in primes and composites then the number 1 is suddenly gone. Primes: 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13 .....etc and composites: 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12.....etc. This is done for practical reasons. If we for instance decompose the number 12 in factors we find: 12=2x2x3. Should we also use the number 1, then we find: 12=1x1x1x1x1.......x1x2x2x3. Because the outcome of 1n x2x2x3 is equal to 2x2x3 the mathematicians have left out the number 1 as factor for practical reasons. However when we search for the divisors of a number, then suddenly the number 1 is a factor. For instance all possible divisors of 12, the number 12 itself excluded, are: 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6. The number 1 is important when you search for perfect numbers (6, 28, 496, 8128.......etc.).

If you have to see 1 as a prime depends also on the definition of the properties of primes. The 1 is a prime accoring this formulation: A prime is a number that only can be divided by itself and/or by 1

The 1 is definitively not a composite, for it has only one divisor.
